What a day it’s been at STEAM in the PARK 2025! We kicked things off with an incredible ranger talk featuring Rangers Julie and Tianna, who shared their love and knowledge of Bryce Canyon’s unique landscape. Their stories helped us see this place with new eyes. Then came a deep dive into Carbon Sequestration—yep, we went science-nerd level with Ambassador KC and her expert guest Karla! Who knew trees and soil could hold such big climate secrets? And big shoutout to Jay, a first-time camper from Charleston, SC, who took home the highly sought-after Mascot Award! That’s right—Ebenezer the Prairie Dog (aka Ebbie to those in the know) got to tag along with Jay for all his Bryce adventures today. Word on the trail is that Ebbie enjoyed every second. Who will get to host him tomorrow? Then… came the storms. Thunder rolled in, but our campers didn't let a little rain slow them down. Some frolicked through Mossy Cave and its waterfalls, soaked but smiling. Others braved the rim-to-rim trail, explored every overlook, or drove the full scenic loop, hopping out for epic photo ops. Some took refuge at the Visitor Center, others took well-earned naps, while a rowdy crew turned our meeting room into a Phase Ten battleground and jewelry design studio. Wherever they were, they laughed, connected, and lived the Firefly Code—look out for each other and let your light shine. Tonight? We filled our plates with a delicious potato bar, played games, and ended the evening with a moving screening of Out There: A National Parks Story. There were tears, reflection, and lots of quiet gratitude. Thank you, Brendan Hall, for reminding us why these wild spaces matter so deeply. ✨ Tomorrow’s story is still unwritten—but if today was any hint, it’s going to be unforgettable. #STEAMinthePARK #BryceDay #PrairieDogChronicles #CarbonCuriosity #FireflyCode #OutThereFilm
