READ. WONDER. ACT. is a collection of free, book-based inquiry units created for students in grades 3–5. Each guide begins with a children’s book and invites students to ask questions, explore real-world issues, listen to different perspectives, and consider how their choices can make a difference. The units include discussion prompts, background information, vocabulary, hands-on activities, standards connections, and an age-appropriate action project. Topics range from protecting water and addressing climate change to belonging, accessibility, hunger, service, economics, peace, and civic participation.
