The National Parks Adventure: Crossing America
John Muir's words resonate profoundly with us, serving as our inspiration at Expeditions in Education, as we unveil our latest endeavor: “Keep close to Nature's heart… and break clear away, once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.” - John Muir
We extend this unique opportunity to students nationwide to virtually explore National Parks across the United States. Students will have the chance to compile a scrapbook of their experiences, aid the parks in achieving UN Global Goals, and interact with peers from various locales. Every month, engaging LIVE virtual events will offer an in-depth exploration of diverse parks, shedding light on the distinctive elements of each one. For those unable to attend the live sessions, archived versions will be available for streaming at your convenience. Additionally, our passion for nature will reach inside the school walls as we plan visits to ten schools annually. Our heartfelt thanks go to the National Park Foundation for their support and collaboration with Expeditions in Education in bringing this singular project to life. Our aspiration is to ignite a connection and enhance the understanding of every 4th grader about the world around them, as they experience the unparalleled beauty of United States National Parks and gain insights from the rangers, volunteers, and various committed park personnel.
