Experience the Parks!
"Experience the Parks" with Expeditions in Education is an innovative program designed to deepen the connection between students, educators, and the national parks. Each year, the program selects 1-2 parks to focus on, dedicating time and resources to explore and highlight the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) aspects inherent in these natural settings.
Over a two-week period, the Expeditions in Education team collaborates on-site with park rangers. This collaboration includes a variety of activities:
The goal of "Experience the Parks" is to introduce thousands of students and educators across the country to the majesty and educational potential of national parks. Parks interested in being part of this transformative educational journey are encouraged to reach out to dacia@expeditionsineducation.org. Planning and scheduling are currently underway for the 2024-2025 cycle, offering an exciting opportunity for parks to participate in this enriching educational initiative. We are currently working with Pullman National Historical Park.

- LiveStreams: Utilizing technology, the program broadcasts live sessions from the parks, allowing students and educators nationwide to experience the parks virtually.
- Content Writing: The team produces engaging and informative content that delves into the STEAM elements of the parks, enriching the educational material available about these natural treasures.
- Educator Experiences: Special programs are designed for educators, enabling them to experience the parks firsthand and transfer this knowledge and enthusiasm back to their classrooms.
